The D.L. Forbes Youth Foundation was founded on April 11, 2002 and celebrates its anniversary every April. It was established one year after the death of Pastor Demetrius Lotrick Forbes, who passed away on April 11, 2001, at 5:10am.

We hope you will join us as we celebrate the life of Pastor D.L. Forbes and the birth of D.L. Forbes Youth Foundation, each year in April.

This year in celebrating our 13th anniversary, we will commit ourselves to serving the public by providing community training in dealing with law enforcement. The event will be held at the Holton Resource Center, located at 401 N. Driver Street, Durham NC.

Our mission is to provide youth with the proper tools to be productive citizens in their community.

Our Youth Conference is held each year in September. The conference is a tool used to motivate, inspire and teach our youth how to make the right decisions in their daily lives.

Speakers from all walks of life engage with the youth in various workshops. They teach topics such as; Health & Wellness, Life-Decisions and Career Development.

Join us as we continue, “Building A Foundation For Our Youth”.

Our goal is to create a stronger community for women of all ages and economic backgrounds by addressing the negative challenges of daily struggles. Empower women with the tools and resources to improve self-development while promoting health and wellness programs committed to serving women and their families.

Our Women’s Conference is an annual event held in October. We partner with various organizations in the community that contribute many resources and speakers for our workshops. This conference is open to young teens and women from all backgrounds.
